Jezebel.com and the New York Daily News have reported, “Supermodel Lara Stone poses in blackface for French Vogue photoshoot.” And indeed, white models including Lara Stone appeared in darkened skin make up. The photo spread has raised the alarm of “blackface” across the media fresh off the heels of the story of Harry Connick Jr. walking off the set of an Australian talent show when performers impersonating the Jackson Five did so in blackface. He later returned and the host apologized on air.
