A Houston man is upset after he said he found two hangman’s nooses suspended in a northeast side Home Depot store and a community activist is calling for the store’s employees to undergo cultural sensitivity training.

A Home Depot spokesman said the company is investigating the incident and said it has a “zero-tolerance policy” against discrimination and harassment.

Reginald Dean Jr., 44, who is black, said he was shopping at the Home Depot at the Eastex Freeway and West Little York last week with a friend when they discovered the two nooses hanging in a middle aisle. The ropes were hanging about 2½ to 3 feet from the floor, he said.
