African-Americans have risen to the highest levels of politics, entertainment and business, and in some ways are more prosperous than ever before. So what is the new dream? What is the new black agenda?

According to the National Urban League’s equality index, which compares statistical measures between whites and blacks, African-Americans have only 71 percent the quality of life enjoyed by white Americans.
