Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy now leads a new group of men. Dungy is currently encouraging fathers to have a better relationship with their children.

As a father of seven, Dungy enjoys spending time with his children.

“At the end of the day, when you come home and your kids are doing something special, doing something well. It’s better than winning us a Super Bowl. It’s better than having a victory at a game,”

Founder and President of All Pro Dad, Mark Merrill, realized back in 1997 of Dungy’s commitment to fatherhood.

“He really gravitated to this issue of really connecting fathers with their kids,” Merrill said.

At the All Pro Dad event, fathers and their children spend three hours playing football.

“You don’t have to be Superman. Just the fact that you’re there and your son or daughter knows that they can come to you and ask a question, it’s really important,” Dungy said.

As a part of the program, there is a booklet that gives the “10 Ways to Be an All Pro Dad”: Love your wife, Spend time with your kids, Be a role model, Understand your children, Show affection, Enjoy your children, Eat together as a family, Discipline with a gentle spirit, Pray and worship together, Realize that you’re a father forever.
