INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Indianapolis police say they have arrested three people on charges related to a shooting that killed two people and injured six others at a birthday party on Aug. 3.

The names of the suspects and other details were not immediately available Tuesday. Police spokesman Lt. Jeff Duhamell said the suspects were in custody.

A masked man armed with an assault-style rifle opened fire Aug. 3 at the birthday gathering on the city’s near west side. The gunfire killed the woman hosting the party and a man who had just arrived.

All of the injured partygoers have been released from hospitals.
