NFL analyst calls on team to hit New Orleans Saints 'like Katrina'

We keep telling sports-types to never, ever make a reference to a real-life disaster, because odds are it’s not going to work. But they just won’t listen.

And this might be the dumbest yet, the one made by Dan Hampton, a Hall of Fame defensive lineman for the Chicago Bears who works on the “Pro Football Weekly” syndicated TV show.

Previewing Thursday’s Minnesota-New Orleans game, Hampton said: “The Vikings need to go down there and hit that town like Katrina.”
