From NYDailyNews

A designer is suing underwear giant Hanesbrands claiming he was fired because he is black after a supervisor used a racial slur in an email referring to him.

Yunusa Kenchi, 32, said he was subjected to a pattern of discrimination by his bosses from the day he started working at Hanes’ Manhattan office in April 2008 until he was dismissed in August 2009.

“It was a horrible situation for him the whole time he worked there,” Kenchi’s lawyer Patrick Boyd said.

Shortly before Kenchi was fired, he came across an email from his supervisor to her boss that said, “We should go forward with getting this n——- out of here.”

Kenchi filed suit in Manhattan Federal Court in March.

“We sincerely regret that the situation arose and are troubled that Mr. Kenchi’s termination process may have been tainted by unacceptable attitudes,” spokesman Matt Hall told The News yesterday.

Kenchi, who had since gotten another job, declined to go back to Hanes and is continuing with his suit, Boyd said.
