The makers of a controversial movie series documenting what they call the “real streets” of Baton Rouge, Louisiana are back in the spotlight. “Thuggin It and Lovin It: Part Two” is set to hit store shelves in November.

Scenes of the new movie are very similar to the old one— there’s open drug use, shootings, and talk of “scoring big cash.”

“We got a lot of positive feedback from our audience of people and they really liked the dvd so a lot of people wanted to see another volume,” says Varlon Route of Millionaire Entertainment.

The profanity-laced movie promises more guns and better stunts, all in the name of entertainment.

“Everybody has a general audience they target,” says Route, “and that’s all we did.”

Many residents of neighborhoods that were at the scenes of recent shootings have already seen the first movie, and say there’s nothing wrong with it.

“It’s not really glorifying it you heard me,” says “Lil Chris.” It’s more of just a having fun you know what I’m saying.”

“I don’t think that’s real,” says “Dallas Jr.”. “That’s just entertainment.”

For some, the entertainment stops when reality sets in and so-called thug life enters their own life. Thelma Petties is still shaken up over a drive-by shooting at her home earlier this year. The 80-year-old was sitting inches away from the path of the bullet.

“They shot through my window, just missed me at my table,” says Petties.

After watching some clips of the gun slingers in “Thuggin It,” Petties gave it a thumbs down.

“Anything that you let your children be exposed with some of them gonna imitate that, and that is wrong,” says Petties.

Still Route says, it’s up to the viewers to make their own decision on the film.

“If someone took what we done, and they misinterpreted or misunderstood what we created, I mean that’s they own perception,” says Route.
