Singer Montell Jordan is giving up mainstream music to work in music ministry.

Best known for his R&B smash ‘This is How We Do It,’ the 41-year-old vocalist recently announced he is retiring from R&B to become the Worship Pastor at the World Victory Church in Norcross, Georgia.

“It’s just been an amazing career. And it has been great,” Jordan posted on his personal Twitter page via @MontellJordan. “But it’s a calling that’s probably been with me all my life since I was a child. And I’ve known it. A lot of people in the business know it and have the same calling but that leap of faith is difficult.”
