OTTAWA (AP) — Baseball Hall of Famer Ferguson Jenkins is getting his own stamp for his 68th birthday.

The pitcher watched on Monday as Canada Post conducted a print run of stamps bearing his image that will commemorate Black History month in February.

He is the only Canadian inducted into Cooperstown, compiling a 3.34 ERA and 284-226 record over 19 seasons with the Phillies, Cubs, Rangers and Red Sox.

The stamp depicts a young Jenkins on the pitcher’s mound with the Cubs, set behind a modern photo of Jenkins at his Order of Canada ceremony in 2007.

Jenkins said the stamp provides a bookend to a major league career in which his image was appeared on a baseball card in 1965.
