Attorney Geoffrey Fieger is suing A&E Television on behalf of Aiyana Stanley-Jones’ family, suggesting a reality TV crew played a role in the death of the 7-year-old, who was killed in May during a police raid on her home in Detroit.

Crews from A&E’s “The First 48,” a show which tracks murder investigations during the first two days after a slaying, were present and may have been filming when Detroit police raided Aiyana’s house in search of a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a Detroit teen.

Officer Joe Weekley, who appeared in a number of A&E reality shows, allegedly shot Aiyana by accident after fellow officers fired a flash-bang grenade at the home.
