Major Anthony Smith is a fighter who came home from Iraq with brain damage, missing an arm, a hip, a kidney and half of his vision.

It was a simple question of ’ how was he going to continue to serve?’ that kept Major Smith from complete despair.

Major Anthony’s mission is teaching martial arts to more 200 at risk kids. He earned his black belt in martial arts and ran a triathlon despise his injuries.

“The biggest struggle is when you can get past yourself and realize that there’s a reason I’m still alive,” Major Anthony said.

He teaches the kids more than martial arts, he teaches them about respect, meditation and patience.

Major Smith feels that each kids’ success is his own. “You know that person to where they’re supposed to be at. It makes you feel real good, ” he said.
