Scarface jailed since October, facing federal charges

Houston rapper Scarface (Brad Jordan) has been in jail since October 13, 2010 over failure to pay child support. XXLmag.com has confirmed that the veteran rapper is being held in Montgomery County Jail in Conroe, Texas without bail. Face is facing charges in four separate child support cases as well as currently undisclosed federal charges.
The unknown federal charges will raise the eyebrows of hip-hop conspiracy theorists. The snitch tag has been leveled on Scarface persistently by rapper Lil Troy, who even released a DVD dedicated to the topic. However, Scarface has always vehemently denied the rival rapper’s claims in numerous interviews.
A heralded Southern rap icon, Scarface signed up with J. Prince’s Rap-A-Lot Records and rose to fame in the mid-80’s as a member of the Geto Boys with Willie D and Bushwick Bill. Their version of the group was signed by Rick Rubin to his Def American Recordings label, who in turned released their album Grip It! On That Other Level nationally to renown despite violent lyrics and minimal radio play.
