1) Blind woman with cancer tasered by Ohio police
When police arrived at Denise Harris’s home looking for her son, they requested she hang up her phone, she replied “no this is my phone, in my own home.” According to Harris, who suffers from blindness and cancer the police officer then grabbed her, threw her onto her futon and began to tase her.

6) 72 Year old great-grandmother gets tased for not signing a traffic ticket
In May 2009, 72 year old great-grandmother Katheryn Winkfein was pulled over on a highway near Austin, Texas for driving 65 mph in a 45mph zone. In September 2007 John Kerry addressed a Constitution Day Forum at the University of Central Florida in Gainsville. Andrew Meyer stood up and began to ask John Kerry questions after the close of the question period which subsequently led to him being forcibly removed from the forum by University police. During his struggle to be arrested and handcuffed Andew Meyer was tasered by a University police officer. Meyer coined one of the most famous quotes from the year 2007 for the line he blared at police, “Don’t tase me Bro!”

Robert Dziekanski, a Polish immigrant moving to Canada to live with his mother died after being tasered 5 times by Royal Canadian Mounted Police at Vancouver International Airport. Dziekanski was tasered over a customs dispute which sparked outrage and irritation on his behalf. Dziekański was tasered a total of five times.

Letecia Elias, 25, the pregnant mother of the baptized boys was also tastered after trying to help Rodriguez while he was tasered.

Barron Pikes ran from police while they pursued him on a charge of cocaine possesion and was in Winnfield, Louisiana. After Pikes was hand-cuffed and on the ground he was tasered 9 times which resulted in his death.

In 2007 a University of Florida student was tasered by campus police and yelled out “Don’t tase me bro!”, and since then the popularity of the electronic shock weapon has grown rapidly. Tasers are most commonly used to by police officers to subdue a person during arrest. However, there are many shocking taser moments that go beyond the simplicity of assisting an officer in an arrest, and in these cases have created an alarming public response.
