Ellison on terror hearings: 'Target the real offenders'

VIDEO - Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota) appeared on 'Morning Joe' to discuss his testimony at the homeland terror hearings led by Peter King

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota) appeared on Morning Joe to discuss his testimony at the homeland terror hearings led by Peter King. At the hearings, Ellison, who is the first Muslim to be elected congressman, broke down when describing the actions of a Muslim paramedic who died responding to the 9/11 attacks.

“He gave his life for other Americans. His life should not be identified as just a member of an ethnic group or just a member of a religion but as an American who gave everything for his fellow Americans,” said Ellison.

Ellison went on to say on Morning Joe that he doesn’t believe Congressman King effectively advanced what to do about domestic terrorism.
