Video shows LeBron's mom's tussle with valet

A security video released Wednesday reportedly shows the mother of Heat star LeBron James tussle with a Fontainebleau valet shortly before her arrest on battery charges.

But the video, acquired by TMZ, may show Gloria James was not the only one who was reportedly acting aggressive outside the posh South Beach hotel.

The black and white footage, reportedly filmed during last Thursday’s altercation between the 43-year-old NBA mom and valet Rockefeller Sorel, shows James confronting the man shortly before 5 a.m.

Sorel appears to push James out of his face, and that’s when LeBron’s mom drops a left bomb, slapping him across the face.

As the valet advances on her, James swings wildly with her purse before falling to the ground as Sorel backs away. James gets up to go back after Sorel, but is quickly separated from him by bystanders.

A Miami Beach police report said James became angry with the valet over her car, saying “where are my f—-ing keys” and yelling profanities at him.

The report stated that James struck Sorel “for no apparent reason,” that she had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, and was “very uncooperative” with police.

James was later arrested on simple battery and disorderly intoxication charges and was released a short time later.

The hotel issued a statement Wednesday, saying the TMZ video was not released by them.

“Fontainebleau Miami Beach cannot confirm the authenticity of the video footage for the reason being that Fontainebleau did not provide and will not distribute its surveillance footage to TMZ or any member of the media,” the statement reads. “The incident, that took place on Thursday, April 7th, involving Mrs. Gloria James and a member of our valet parking provider remains an open case in the justice system to which we refer all questions to each parties perspective legal teams. Fontainebleau Miami Beach will not comment any further on the matter.”
