A man linked to the disappearance of a 5-year-old Durham, North Carolina boy faces new charges.

On Monday, a grand jury indicted Peter Moses with second degree kidnapping, assault by pointing a gun and assault on a female communicating threats.

Last week, police arrested Moses, the alleged leader of a cult known as the Black Hebrews, and Vania Sisk, Jadon Higganbothan’s mother.

Warrants suggest Moses and Sisk are connected with the disappearance of Higganbothan and 28-year-old Antoinetta McKoy, who are both believed to be dead.

An informant previously told authorities that Moses ordered Sisk to shoot Antoinetta McKoy.

Higganbothan has been missing for months.
