The NYPD wants the public’s help in capturing the suspect wanted in connection with five robberies on Staten Island.
Police say the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Alexander Molina, of Staten Island, targeted delis, grocery stores and a liquor store. All the robberies occurred over Easter weekend.
In each case, Molina allegedly took an undetermined amount of money from the stores’ cash registers.
The first robbery happened Saturday morning at a grocery store on Osgood Avenue, when Molina allegedly walked behind the counter acting like he had a gun in his pocket. He demanded money and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
Cops say Molina struck again Saturday evening at a deli on Stuyvesant Place, where he walked up to the counter, showed a gun and demanded money before fleeing on foot. Just three hours after the deli robbery, Molina allegedly used the same scheme to rob another grocery store, this time on Clove Road.
Molina allegedly robbed two more stores on Easter Sunday, targeting a deli on Rhine Avenue just before 5 a.m. and then a liquor store on Vanderbilt Avenue at about 8 p.m.
No one was injured in any of the robberies.
