Today, Rush Limbaugh applauded President Barack Obama for ordering the execution of Osama bin Laden on Sunday.

“We need to open the program today by congratulating President Obama,” Limbaugh said. “President Obama has done something extremely effective, and when he does, this needs to be pointed out.”

Limbaugh went on to say that President Obama “insisted on the special forces, no one else thought of that.”

WATCH RUSH LIMBAUGH PRAISE PRESIDENT OBAMA:

In the past, Limbaugh has issued several negative statements regarding President Obama, his supporters and first lady Michelle Obama.

Limbaugh has routinely slammed the president in less than politically correct language. He has referred to Obama as a “pharoah” and “graffiti on the walls of U.S. history.”

Just last month, Limbaugh called Obama’s supporters “savages” and said “A lot of it is just walking human debris on the Democrat base side.”

In February 2011 Limbaugh commented on Michelle Obama’s eating habits, saying “it doesn’t look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice,” after saying she was spotted eating ribs on a ski vacation.

But today, Limbaugh had nothing but positive remarks about the president. He continued to praise Obama for killing Osama bin Laden.

“It was President Obama single-handedly and alone who came up with the strategy that brought about the effective assassination of Osama bin Laden. Thank God for President Obama.”
