Despite his way with words, few would assume that Raekwon would be giving a Republican Senate leader from Illinois advice on the state budget. But Christine Radogno quoted his lyrics before her fellow politicians and there’s video evidence.
The $15 billion budget deficit that Illinois faces is nothing to laugh about. But Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno, a Republican from Chicago’s suburbs, couldn’t be serious when she read a letter from Raekwon and referenced lyrics from Wu-Tang Clan’s song ‘C.R.E.A.M’ in her remarks to the state’s General Assembly.
“The most precious thing in the world is the financial security and wellbeing of your family,” the Senate Republican said, reportedly reading a letter from Raekwon.
