Michele Bachmann made her statement and is sticking by it. The candidate for the Republican presidential nomination has said she praises our founding fathers for tirelessly working to end slavery.

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos confronted Bachmann — calling her statement false.

“If you look at one of our founding fathers, John Quincy Adams, that’s absolutely true,” Bachmann said.

Stephanopoulos asked Bachmann to officially confirm she is sticking by her comments.

“John Quincy Adams was absolutely a part of the Revolutionary War era. He was a young boy, but he was actively involved,” she said.

Adams was nine years old during the Revolutionary War.

According to Politifact, Bachmann has the worst record of all the candidates currently running for president when it comes to making false statements.
