Breathe a sigh of relief, people. Roy Williams got his engagement ring back.
To recap—in February, Williams sent the ring, along with a videotaped proposal and around $5,000 for school and dental work to his then-girlfriend of about a year, Brooke Daniels.
According to Williams’ account, Daniels declined the proposal but accepted the ring, worth around $76,000.
A signed affidavit by Williams said that when he initially asked for the ring back, Daniels said she had lost it. But an insurance investigation revealed that it was in the possession of her father, leading Williams to file the now-infamous lawsuit to get the finger-bling back. And as of today, Williams got his wish.
