NBC Miami

A Lauderhill man was found guilty Friday of shooting three people in the face while robbing a Delray Beach Dunkin’ Donuts.

James Herard, 21, previously told police that it was “pretty” to watch his gunshot victims’ faces blown off, and seeing the carnage was “like sex” to him. All of the wounded survived the shootings over Thanksgiving weekend in 2008, for which Heard faced three charges of attempted first-degree murder and along with 16 additional charges.

His crime became nationally known when Herard barked liked a dog during pre-trial hearings, prompting a judge to respond drily, “I’m going to consider your bark an acknowledgement of what I just said.”
