RANKIN COUNTY, MS — Dorian Cyrus and Jeffery Taylor Jenkins were friends and went to school together, sources told WBLT. The two were suspected to be having an argument about a girl when Cyrus went to 19-year-old Jenkins home and fatally stabbed him. Allegedly the stabbing occurred in response to a Twitter or Facebook post. Cyrus is currently being held in jail, and is charged with murder.
“It’s not worth it, losing your life over a girl or over he say or she say.” Said Thelma Paige, aunt of the victim. “Somebody got to have some sense. Somebody just think, just think. It is just not worth it to lose your life. He was only 19-years-old”
