Family members confirm that the 12-year-old victim of a hit-and-run crash in Richardson has been released from the hospital.

Officers said Devin Byrd was riding his go-kart when 62-year-old Elaine Burbridge hit him from behind and then dragged him for several feet on July 14.

Family members said Byrd sustained several injuries, including swelling in his brain.
