Chris Tucker is finally ready for moviegoers to hear the words that are coming out of his mouth once again. After a four-year hiatus from filmmaking, the actor-comedian is in talks to join director David O. Russell’s adaptation of author Matthew Quick’s The Silver Lining Playbook. Starring alongside Bradley Cooper, this would be Tucker’s first feature film role not titled Rush Hour since 1997’s Jackie Brown. The project already has an impressive cast with Robert De Niro and Jennifer Lawrence attached to co-star.

Playbook, which is scheduled to shoot in the fall, finds Bradley Cooper as Pat Peoples, a high school teacher who was recently released from a mental institution. After spending four years in the crazy house, he’s looking to get his life back together by reconciling with his wife, but gets involved with an eccentric neighbor played by Jennifer Lawrence. De Niro will play Cooper’s father and Tucker will play his “spirited friend who lives in a mental hospital,” but flies the coop to often hang out with him.
