From HipHopWired.com

In today’s news that we couldn’t make up if we tried, Tyler, The Creator and his Odd Future collective, who signed a distribution deal with Sony/RED earlier this year, have signed the first artist to their Odd Future Records imprint.

Rapper Young Ni**a (yes, pronounced Young N-word) is the first act to join OFWGKTA’s record label.

A statement from Odd Future’s publicist reads: “While our original intent was not to sign anyone to the label we simply could not pass up the opportunity to sign somebody this talented.”

“Young Ni**a embodies the DIY ethic and persona of Odd Future along with a commercial appeal that transcends demographics.”
