Apparently Eddie Murphy is very loyal to his friends. This week Brett Ratner resigned as producer of the 2012 Academy Awards show after making anti-gay remarks. A day after Ratner’s resignation Eddie decided that he wanted to relinquish his hosting duties too. Just when we thought Eddie was making a comeback, he goes and does this.

So it seems the marketing folks over at E! are rushing to profit from Kim Kardashian’s divorce while it’s still a hot topic. In the newly released trailer for Kourtney & Kim Take New York, viewers can see how Kim and Kris Humphries fell out of love.
Morgan Freeman honored at the Golden Globe Awards
This week the Hollywood Foreign Press announced that Morgan Freeman will receive the coveted Cecil B. Demille Award at the 69th annual Golden Globes ceremony January 15th. Hopefully, there will be a movie tribute to Freeman’s role in Driving Miss Daisy.

This week Adele had throat surgery in Boston to correct a recurrent condition that forced her to cancel numerous concerts during her most recent tour.
