Happy birthday, Jimi Hendrix.

The legendary rock n’ roll artist, born James Marshall Hendrix, was born on November 27, 1942. Had he not died of a drug overdose on September 18, 1970, he would have turned 69 years old today.

Hendrix had a great influence on modern rock as well as on R&B artists like Prince. He was named the greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine recently, and even has his own iPad app, which debuted, fittingly, on his birthday.
