Oprah Winfrey sent Wendy Williams a letter saying that she and her longtime best gal pal Gayle King are still friends.

Recently on her talk show Wendy Williams said that she did not approve of Gayle King abandoning OWN to co-host The Early Show on CBS.

“I don’t like that Gayle is leaving OWN, in my opinion this is the beginning of the end. Gayle is this the beginning of the end with you and Oprah?” Williams asked.

Oprah apparently wanted to set the record straight on her friendship with Gayle King, and sent The Wendy Williams Show host a letter.

Williams immediately read the letter aloud to her studio audience on Wednesday’s episode.

The letter stated, “I know there’s been some speculation that Gayle and Oprah had a falling out because Gayle will be hosting the new morning show on CBS. I wanted to make sure everyone knows that there is only happiness for Gayle and this wonderful opportunity.”

The letter was signed “Love, Oprah. P.S. Stay black!”
