Fans of Barbershop, Are We There Yet and the Friday films, are in for a treat. Ice Cube is reportedly developing a new cable series, entitled Eye for an Eye for FX.

The show is said to be a revenge-based drama, centered around a paramedic who becomes tired of passively responding to violence, and decides to take the law into his own hands and becomes a vigilante.

Ice Cube will star as the show’s leading male, and also serves as executive producer along with Matt Alvarez, his partner at his production company Cube Vision. Eye for an Eye will be co-produced by Prospect Park productions.

The rapper-turned-actor currently produces the TV sitcom Are We There Yet, for TBS. His next film 21 Jump Street is due in theaters in the spring of 2012.

Eye for and Eye is currently in development and does not have a confirmed air date.
