Justin Bieber will try his hand at anything these days…recently he attempted freestyling over Notorious B.I.G.’s infamous track, “Who Shot Ya?”

The 17-year-old pop sensation stopped by the Bootleg Kev Radio show in Las Vegas last Friday, and during his interview showed off the talents of his rap alter-ego named “Shawty Mane.”

He spit a few unwritten, on-the-spot versus over Biggie’s track.

“Running everywhere, trying to find where I am/Going nowhere, so I’m trying again/I am so lost like paper, no pen/Yes, you have called, so yet here I am/Cold, no sweater/Bold, no letter/So much better/ My role, go getter,” Bieber rapped.

Earlier this year, DJ Premier reportedly denied the aspiring rapper from performing in the BET’s Hip-Hop Awards cypher, after he heard Bieber asked Ludacris to write his lyrics.

“Justin Bieber asked if he could do the cypher and everybody was worried that might mess up the integrity of BET,” Premier said. “I was like yo, as long as he got a dope rhyme, let him spit. But then we heard he wants Luda to write his rhyme. I was like oh no, no, no, no. If you ain’t writing your own rhyme, you can’t do it, so Justin, you gotta take a backseat. Write your own rhymes, honey.”

In November Bieber stopped by New York City’s Hot 97 and performed lyrics over Gang Starr’s “DWYCK” in an attempt to redeem himself.

Do you think Bieber has what it takes to be a rapper?
