Police are investigating an apparently racist act of vandalism at the New York City Parks Department’s Bronx headquarters, where a black baby doll was found hanging by its neck from a metal chain and three “KKK”s were found scratched in a bathroom.

The incident happened at Ranaqua, the Parks Department’s Bronx headquarters located at 1 Bronx River Parkway.

According to authorities, a black worker found the doll hanging near his work space.

Police said the “KKK” markings were found in a first-floor bathroom.
