DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Residents of a DeKalb County neighborhood said they hope using social media websites will help catch the people breaking into their homes.
Decatur police said officers are searching for the thieves who broke into an Oakhurst home that had a surveillance camera.
Video caught the men breaking into a home on Christmas Eve and stealing $5,000 worth of Christmas gifts in less than three minutes.

The homeowner said the men stole an Apple computer, a 32-inch television and a Nikon camera.
The victims and their friends took the video and posted it on a Decatur neighborhood network as well as blogs, Twitter and Facebook.
The video has had nearly 4,000 views.
“The homeowner posted the video and asked us to share it, and he put it on our neighborhood network so that everyone could have access to it and share it,” said neighbor Tina Chadwick.
