Lebron James may not yet have a ring, but Savannah Brinson does. The Heat star is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Brinson, according to the Associated Press.

According to the AP, James asked his high school sweetheart to marry him during a New Year’s Eve party Saturday night. The party was also doubling as James’ 27th birthday party.

Teammate Chris Paul and Miami Heat owner Micky Arison tweeted their congratulations shortly after the announcement went public.

The couple have two children: LeBron James Jr., 11 and Bryce Maximus James, age 4.

Brinson was reportedly reluctant at first to trade their home in Cleveland for the Miami heat, but she and James have adapted to the heat — and the Heat — so far.

According to Radar Online, Heat pals Chris Bowsh and Dwayne Wade and his girlfriend Gabrielle Union were among those in attendance at the bash.
