From Hip Hop Wired: Recently we reported that Ludacris will be bringing his new restaurant, Chicken & Beer, to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Luda’s new eatery was allegedly in direct competition with Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club, according to Hip Hop News 24-7.

Apparently the airport could only accommodate one of the ventures, which ended up being Luda’s new endeavor. Reportedly, Luda pulled some strings and met with Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed, and got him to speak to the Atlanta City Council on his behalf.

Hov was supposedly irate with Ludacris, but nothing has been confirmed. Considering that Jay signed a deal with Delaware North Companies, a global leader in hospitality and food service, to bring the 40/40 Club to about 20 U.S. airports, his anger at losing a potential spot in a major airport makes sense.
