The Insider has reported that the president himself has sent a warm birthday greeting to actress Zooey Deschanel. The New Girl star who turned 32 on Tuesday also shares her birthday with the first lady. In the letter, President Obama makes note of his appreciation towards her off-screen efforts.
Zooey Deschanel received a special letter for her birthday from a very high-ranking man: President Barack Obama.
Deschanel is birthday twins with First Lady Michelle Obama, which was an easy reminder for the commander-in-chief to send the New Girl star a special note on the 17th.
In addition to wishing her a happy birthday, Obama thanked Deschanel for “all (she) has done to encourage and support young women who are making a difference across our country.”
