Blue Ivy Carter is not even two weeks old, but it’s never too early to get the party started. On Wednesday night, Jay-Z stepped out for the first time since the birth of his baby girl to celebrate and re-launch his flagship New York nightclub, the 40/40. In the Summer of 2011, after nine years of serving New York nightlife, Jay-Z and his business partner Juan Perez announced that the club would have to shut down for renovations. Renowned interior designer Jeffrey Beers lead the redesign group and the club underwent a total makeover.

Unfortunately, Beyoncé was unable to attend the party, but a slew of celebrities including Warren Buffett, Ashanti, Spike Lee and rapper Wale were all in attendance to celebrate the birth of Blue Ivy and the re-birth of the 40/40. The proud new dad was all smiles during the evening, and surely had a lot to celebrate!
