Cory Gunz, son of 90’s Rapper Peter Gunz and star of MTV’s reality show, Son of a Gun was arrested recently on gun charges, according to Hip Hop Wired. The young star with a relatively clean image has no prior offense. His arrest for carrying the concealed weapon came with much concern from his father, who made the first statement on his arrest.
YMCMB’s Cory Gunz was arrested on Saturday afternoon (January 28) in The Bronx after being caught with a loaded gun. MTV News received confirmation of the arrest via the Young Money rapper’s father, Peter Gunz.
“The details are still sketchy, but I can confirm that he was arrested with a firearm yesterday in the Bronx,” said Gunz. “They caught him around 2p.m. in the afternoon with a loaded gun in his knapsack.”
The elder Gunz also mentioned that he felt the search which turned up the gun was illegal. Gunz also spoke to the arresting officer who mentioned that they were tipped off about the rapper carrying the weapon.
