Pop Crush reports that Madonna has been taking subliminal shots at Janet Jackson. When asked about her upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance, Madonna alluded to Jackson’s infamous ‘wardrobe malfunction’. Madonna said that she plans to have an entertaining show, without nudity, the night of the Super Bowl:

During an interview with NY1 to promote her new movie and Super Bowl XLVI halftime show, the Material Girl threw a subliminal remark at Ms. Jackson for her controversial nipple slip during her halftime performance at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004.

When asked if she was planning any ‘naughty’ surprises with her show, Madge quipped, “I have not mainstreamed and I’m not planning anything naughty. I’m planning something super entertaining.” She then added, “Yep, yep! You don’t have to show nipples to be interesting and it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re cutting edge if you do right?”

Subliminal disses aside, Madonna upcoming halftime show is shaping up to be “super entertaining” as she said in the interview. Hip-Hop queen Nicki Minaj just confirmed that she will join Madge onstage for the Feb. 5 event in Indianapolis. Also, added to the show are reportedly LMFAO and officially pop crooner Cee Lo Green.
