Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

One of our favorite Cosby kids is all grown up and heading to the Great White Way. Actress-turned-producer, Raven Symone is set to star in the hit musical Sister Act.

The 26-year-old diva snagged the leading role, Deloris Van Cartie, in the musical and will be singing and dancing 7 days a week beginning in March.

This is Raven’s second time on Broadway, she originally made her debut when she was just five years old with the Boys Choir of Harlem. She’ll be using her precious pipes once again singing some of the memorable tunes from the original 1992 film.

Black women have been having a great year on the stage so far. From the Alicia Key’s produced play, Stick Fly, to Katori Hall’s MLK-inspired play, The Mountaintop, black women have been showing up and showing out on the Great White Way.
