Former Red Sox pitcher, Dennis Boyd, has came clean and admitted to having used cocaine during his MLB career. When rumors of Boyd’s drug use surfaced people assumed he had been using steroids. The Huffington Post reports that Dennis ‘Oil Can’ Boyd admitted to WBZ News Radio that he consumed cocaine many times before games.

When a former baseball player comes forward and claims he used illegal drugs during his playing days, the first thing people naturally assume is that he’s referring to steroids or some other performance enhancers. But Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd referred to something slightly different during a recent interview.
