Jay Z and Beyonce skipped the 2012 Grammys for a pizza date at Lucali. The restaurant is located in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn. The Daily News reports that the couple thanked the restaurant owners of their way out. Onlookers said that they looked like a regular couple enjoying a bite to eat. The Carter’s have been in the tabloids non-stop since the birth of their now 1-month-old daughter Blue Ivy.

While the music industry glammed up for Sunday night’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the King and Queen of hip hop enjoyed a low-key night out across the country.

Leaving one-month-old daughter Blue Ivy at home, new parents Jay-Z and Beyonce were spotted out on an intimate dinner date at their favorite pizzeria, Lucali, in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn, according to Us Weekly.

The superstar couple, who traveled from their home in Tribeca via their Maybach, appeared “just like a regular couple talking and whatnot,” a witness told the magazine.

“They were sitting in front of the place closer to where they make the pizza.”
