Bill O'Reilly: Media to blame for exploiting Whitney Houston's addiction

VIDEO - O'Reilly speaks on the role that the media played in sensationalizing and exploiting the singer's problems, rather than trying to help her by shedding light on her addiction...

This morning, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly joined Matt Lauer on The Today Show to talk politics, his book Killing Lincoln, and of course, the controversial remarks he made about the death of Whitney Houston.

O’Reilly suggested earlier this week that Houston indeed “wanted to kill herself.” He explained that she would not have taken drugs for so long if she wanted to stay on the planet. O’Reilly then spoke on the role that the media played in sensationalizing and exploiting the singer’s problems, rather than trying to help her by shedding light on her addiction. “Name me one media commentator outside of myself who said, ‘Hey, Whitney, you better knock it off or you’re going to be in the ground. Give me one,’” said O’Reilly.
