Shakira signs to Jay-Z's Roc Nation

Latin superstar Shakira has recently signed a contract under Jay-Z’s Roc Nation umbrella. XXL magazine reports that the Colombian hit-maker will join the likes of Rihanna, Santigold, J.Cole and producer, Jahlil Beats.The singer, who has won two Grammys as well as eight Latin Grammys, is no stranger to the hip-hop industry, having worked with Lil Wayne and Wyclef Jean.

Shakira, Shakira! She’s throwing up the Roc. The superstar Colombian singer has signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for management, XXLMag.com has learned.

With worldwide appeal, Shakira has sold more than 60 million albums and won 12 Billboard Latin Music Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards.

With the signing to Roc Nation for management, Shakira joins the likes of Rihanna, Wale, Santigold and Melanie Fiona, who are all signed under Roc Nation’s management umbrella. Managed producers under Roc Nation include Jahlil Beats, No I.D. and S1.
