Police were called in response to a fight at Georgetown Dialysis Clinic in Georgetown, Kentucky, between two senior fans of University of Kentucky (UK) and University of Louisiana (UofL) Monday, WKYT reports.

The rivalry teams will play each other this weekend in the final four games of the NCA tournament.

“I think this is a first at a dialysis clinic,” Lieutenant Robert Swanigan told WKYT of the harmless quarrel turned first fight.

Dialysis patient and die-hard UK fan, Ed Wilson, explains his side of the story, saying “He just happened to think UofL would beat UK and he started running his mouth — that’s what started it.”

UofL fan, Charles Taylor, insists that Wilson provoked him to take physical action.

“I didn’t talk to him about the ball game, I was talking to another guy about the ball game,” explains Taylor, “he told me ‘shut up,’ then gave me the finger.”

UK fan Wilson says he was hooked up to his dialysis machine during the altercation and couldn’t defend himself.

Offended by Wilson, Taylor took action. “I went up to him and I hit him, ” he said. “Didn’t hit him that hard, but I hit him.”

When police arrived, the fight had already been diffused.

Wilson says he won’t be pressing charges against Taylor, but he still hopes his team wins.
