Despite the fact that former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has vehemently denied any interest in the VP spot on the 2012 ticket, Mitt Romney is still interest in tapping her for the job. The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

The Condi corner . . .

The latest mega-Republican rumble: GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is eyeing the possibility of choosing former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as his running mate if he catches the brass ring.

Think about it. It would add to Mitt’s lack of major cachet in the foreign policy category; his poll numbers are plummeting in the female vote category; and Rice, an African American, is a class act who’s a bit bored in the life of academia.
