First lady Michelle Obama stood out among the audience of reporters and celebrities in a strapless gown at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner held on Saturday. The annual event, which was attended by 2,000 luminaries, was as big a hit as ever as attendees this year listened to the stand-up comedy routine traditionally given by the president.
While the stars who hobnobbed and POTUS’ jokes have been widely reported on, the fashion choices of first lady Michelle Obama have been overlooked — until now.
The Mrs. O blog breaks down the components of her stellar outfit, which included a strapless floral gown in a uniquely draped pattern. According to the fashion site that chronicles the stylish forays of the first lady:
Mrs. O has once again turned to Naeem Khan for a formal event, wearing the designer’s strapless paisley print organza ballgown. On the jewelry front, the First Lady wears the “Aurora” earrings by designer Carla Amorim, featuring 18k rose gold with cronaline and orange sapphires, as well as a lapis ring by Sara Weinstock…
Stunning! A look not be missed in the ongoing coverage of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which was rich with interesting happenings this year.
