Serena Williams, 13-time Grand Slam winner, said in a recent interview that she’s on hiatus from dating for the “next decade or so,” because her last relationship left her “heartbroken.” In the past, the tennis powerhouse has been linked to rappers Drake and Common, but she hasn’t specified from whom she’s split . Serena Williams is 30 years old. Under her current plan to curtail romantic relationships, she won’t date again until she’s at least 40.
“I just have to remove myself from that atmosphere for about the next decade or so,” Serena told Celebuzz.com at the launch for her new line of Sleep Sheets. “I can’t get involved.”
The tennis star said the moratorium on dating stems recent relationships gone awry.
