From NBC Los Angeles: A former Carson High School and El Camino Junior College football player was shot and killed Sunday after a fight at a party in Lincoln Heights.

The victim was identified Sunday as 22-year-old Ken McRoyal, a University of Idaho football player. He joined the Vandals football program in August 2011 after playing at El Camino Junior College.

McRoyal, the father of a 2-year-old girl, was visiting his family.
